A turnê The End is Nero começa em Viena, Áustria, e termina em Dublin, Irlanda. Entre os destaques, estão quatro apresentações na Alemanha — Bonn, Berlim, Stuttgart e Munique — com suporte da banda londrina So Good.\nO show em Berlim está marcado para o dia 12.08.2025, na icônica Zitadelle Spandau, um dos palcos ao ar livre mais prestigiados da cidade.\nNão há como falar de stoner rock sem citar Josh Homme. Fundador da lendária Kyuss aos 14 anos, Homme foi peça fundamental na criação do som que hoje define o gênero: riffs pesados, afinados em tons mais graves e grooves hipnóticos que ecoam até hoje em muitas bandas.\nApós o fim da Kyuss em 1995, Homme iniciou um novo projeto: o Queens Of The Stone Age. Se com a Kyuss ele consolidou uma identidade, com o QOTSA ele expandiu os limites. Sem vocalista disponível, assumiu os vocais e liderou o lançamento do álbum de estreia homônimo em 1998, tocando quase todos os instrumentos — exceto a bateria.\nDois anos depois, veio Rated R, lançado em 2000, mais experimental e psicodélico. Com participações de Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) e Nick Oliveri (Kyuss), o álbum mergulha em temas lisérgicos, trazendo uma sonoridade ousada e letras provocativas que colocaram o QOTSA no radar do mainstream.\nO sucesso foi consolidado com Songs For The Deaf, um clássico absoluto do hard rock, reverenciado por fãs e crítica. Mas os bastidores estavam conturbados: a relação entre Homme e Oliveri se deteriorou, e o baixista foi desligado da banda em 2004.\nCom o lançamento de Lullabies to Paralyze em 2005, a banda já ocupava uma posição de prestígio global. O disco, que dá continuidade à narrativa de seu antecessor, estreou no top 5 da Billboard 200 e teve o hit “Little Sister” entre os mais tocados nos EUA e Europa.\nEm 2007 saiu Era Vulgaris, bem recebido pela crítica. Após a turnê, a banda fez uma pausa prolongada, durante a qual Homme se dedicou ao projeto Them Crooked Vultures.\nO retorno veio em 2013 com o elogiado …Like Clockwork, disco que contou com participações inusitadas de Elton John e Trent Reznor. O álbum liderou as paradas da Billboard e reforçou a versatilidade criativa da banda.\nEm 2017, foi a vez de Villains, com Jon Theodore (ex-The Mars Volta) oficialmente na bateria. Four dates have been announced in Germany: Bonn, Berlin, Stuttgart and Munich, with the londoners So Good as support band.\nThe show in Berlin will take place 12.08.2025 at the Zitadelle Spandau.\nJosh Homme is without doubt one of the key figures in the history of stoner rock. As a founding member of Kyuss at the young age of 14, his contribution to setting the cornerstones of the stoner rock sound are inarguable: His unique guitar playing style with heavy, down tuned riffs and groovy melodies was truly innovative at the time, and has been imitated through decades by many other musicians who hold on to the genre.\nAfter Kyuss split up in 1995, Homme embarked in a new sonic adventure the year after: Queens Of The Stone Age. A band that, as well as Kyuss, has long ago reached the status of legendary in the stoner rock scene.\nWith Queens Of The Stone Age Josh Homme continued developing his unequalled guitar style and, unable to find a suitable singer, he took up the challenge himself and sang for the first time in his career. Queens of the Stone Age released their eponymous debut album in 1998. Except for the drums, Homme played most of the instruments in it, creating a flexible and experimental album compared to Kyuss’ sound.\nTheir next album, Rated R (launched in 2000), gave more space for new instruments and psychedelic ideas. Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees and bassist Nick Oliveri of Kyuss and at the time QOTSA lent their vocals to some of the tracks. Quite different to their debut album, Rated R is heavily influenced by drug-induced experiences, and it shows both in the sound and the lyrics. Despite its experimental and chaotic nature, this work catapulted the band into the mainstream.\nQOTSA’s third album, Songs For The Deaf, was acclaimed both by fans and critics alike. With a sound leaning towards hard rock, this work gave the band even more international projection than their predecessor. Paradoxically, Homme considered breaking up the project after this album as his relationship with Oliveri deteriorated drastically, to the point that Homme fired the bassist in 2004.\n\nLullabies to Paralyze, released in 2005 , served as a sequel to Songs for the Deaf, taking its title from a verse in the last track in the album, Mosquito song. The band had by then gained recognition at international level and beyond the stoner rock universe. Lullabies to Paralyze was a critical and commercial success, debuting on the fifth position on the Billboard 200, with the single “Little Sister” ranking high in charts on both sides of the Atlantic.\nTheir next album, Era Vulgaris, was released in June 2007. It had a good reception, but after the tour, the band took a break to focus on other artistic projects, leading to an unintended hiatus which lasted six years. Homme focused in his contribution to super group Them Crooked Vultures.\nIn 2013 QOTSA’s sixth album saw the light. Under the name …Like Clockwork, the record included collaborations as dissimilar as Elton John and Trent Reznor. It was, nontheless, a very successful album which topped the Billboard 200 charts and was, once again, praised by both the music community and critics.\nTheir seventh album, Villains, was released in August 2017. There are no collaborators and it incorporates John Theodor (ex-The Mars Volta) as a permanent band member. This album was labelled by critics as more “carefree” and loose, with the addition of disco influences and synth sounds to Homme’s trademark guitar style, creating a chiller atmosphere than the previous works.\n\nIn Times New Roman was launched in 2023 after an eight year hiatus. In Homme’s own words, it is a record about acceptance and going through difficult times.
