É 11 de janeiro, Oslo e está por volta de -20°C lá fora, então o que é melhor do que um concerto? Vamos para algum lugar dentro e ouvir um bom Metal!

Beast in Black, GLORYHAMMER e os suecos Brothers of Metal como ato de abertura.

Eu participei do show como fotógrafo e tive a sorte de assistir ao show completo do Brothers of Metal, a banda de power metal sueca de Falun. A banda é composta por três vocalistas (dois homens, uma mulher), três guitarristas, um baixista e um baterista. O estilo visual e as letras da banda são inspirados por vikings e mitologia nórdica.

Brothers of Metal foram interessantes, agradáveis, energéticos, vestidos como vikings em couro, descalços e fizeram um aquecimento realmente bom para o público. Mesmo com o espaço pequeno deixado no palco por causa da cenografia teatral escondida atrás deles ocupando a maior parte do palco, eles estavam pulando por todo o lugar animando o público. Eles também tocaram a música “Yggdrasil”, “A melhor música que você já ouviu”, como eles chamam. Bem, todos concordamos, é uma boa música.

Eu estava tão curioso sobre o que estava escondido atrás das cortinas. Parecia impressionante e era. Gloryhammer, a banda britânica de power metal fundada por Christopher Bowes (Alestorm), trouxe um castelo ao palco, trouxe um troll verde que canta como um anjo e luta no palco com o vocalista principal. Eu gostei das fantasias de armadura, cada membro representa um personagem no conceito da história. Os membros da banda chegaram ao palco um por um e o show começou. Eu não consegui ver mais do que as três primeiras músicas, mas pelo que vi, deve ter sido bom.

Depois de uma longa espera, fomos chamados para fotografar o ato principal e final, a banda de power metal finlandesa Beast in Black. A banda foi fundada em Helsinque em 2015 por Anton Kabanen (anteriormente na Battle Beast).

O que eu vi foi mais cenário teatral, luzes e uma enorme cabeça de leão no palco cuspindo fumaça. Vocais impressionantes, o cantor alcançando notas altas loucas e o resto da banda se movendo ao redor sendo simplesmente fabulosos enquanto se apresentavam. Novamente, estive lá apenas pelas três primeiras músicas, então, pela minha pequena experiência, parecia interessante. Acho que o resto do show foi tão bom quanto o começo. Você pode perceber pelas belas fotos que consegui capturar.

It is January 11, Oslo and it’s about -20° outside, so what’s better than a concert? Let’s get somewhere inside and listen to some good Metal!

Beast in Black, GLORYHAMMER and the Swedes Brothers of Metal as an opening act.

I attended the show as a photographer and I had the luck to watch the full show of Brothers of Metal, the Swedish power metal band from Falun. The band consists of three vocalists (two male, one female), three guitar players, a bass player and a drummer. The band’s visual style and lyrics are inspired by Vikings and Norse mythology.

Brothers of Metal were Interesting, pleasant, energetic dressed up as vikings in leathers, bearfoot and did a really good warm up to the crowd. Even though the small space left on stage because of the hidden theatrical scenery behind them taking up most of the stage they were jumping all around the place hyping up the audience. They also performed the song “Yggdrasil”, “The best song you’ve ever heard” as they call it. Well, we all agree, it’s a good song.

I was so curious about wat was hidden behind the curtains.It looked impressive and it was. Gloryhammer, the British power metal band founded by Christopher Bowes (Alestrom) brought a castle on stage, brought a green troll that sings like an angel and fights on stage with the main vocalist. I liked the armour costumes, each member represents a character in the story concept. The band members arrived on stage one by one and the show started. I wasn’t able to see more than the first three songs, but from what I saw, it must had been a good one.

After a long wait, we were called to photograph the main and final act, the finish power metal band Beast in Black. The band was founded in Helsinki in 2015 by Anton Kabanen (previously in Battle Beast).

“Like Battle Beast, the band’s name is a tribute to the Japanese manga and anime series Berserk.”

What I saw was more theatrical scenery , lights and a huge lion head on stage spitting smoke. Impressive vocals, the singer reaching crazy high notes and the rest of the band moving around being just fabulous while performing. Again I was there only for the first three songs, so from my little experience, it looked interesting. I guess the rest of the show was just as good as the beginning. You can tell by the beautiful photos I managed to catch.
