O artista solo alemão Chris Maragoth lançou seu álbum de estreia intitulado “Coletor de Almas” em 24 de novembro. O álbum é uma mistura única de Metal Sinfônico, Gótico e Melodic Death Metal.
Através das 10 faixas que compõem o trabalho, temas como morte, salvação e memórias daqueles deixados para trás são explorados, envolvidos em uma atmosfera de escuridão e melancolia.
Chris colaborou com vários músicos talentosos que se juntaram a ele na maioria das faixas, incluindo Estelia (uma mezzo-soprano judia com raízes georgianas e ucranianas), Cherry Summerfield (vocalista da banda de Melodic Death Metal 15 de Julho) e Per Lümbersson (da banda alemã de Melodic Death Metal Era da Consciência). As partes de violoncelo em todas as músicas foram contribuídas por Polina Faustova, uma violoncelista ucraniana. Essa mistura de talentos em colaboração com a visão de Maragoth dá origem a um álbum versátil e fluido que, em pouco mais de 30 minutos, levará o ouvinte por mundos de beleza sombria.
O álbum começa com o violoncelo de Faustova e atravessa diferentes paisagens sonoras: o poderoso instrumental À Beira da Morte (participação de Lümbersson), o cativante Esperando a Salvação (com Rot) ou Carnaval dos Sonhos, com a letrista Julia Dathe exibindo vocais melódicos e guturais. O trabalho se encerra com o emocionante violoncelo e piano de Deixados para Trás (O Último Adeus).

German Solo Artist Chris Maragoth has released his debut album titled “Gatherer of Souls” on November 24. The album is a unique blend of Symphonic, Gothic, and Melodic Death Metal.
Through the 10 tracks that make up the work, subjects such as death, salvation, and memories of those left behind are explored, enveloped in an atmosphere of darkness and melancholy.
Chris collaborated with several talented musicians who joined him on the majority of the tracks, including Estelia (a Jewish mezzo-soprano with Georgian and Ukrainian roots), Cherry Summerfield (vocalist of the Melodic Death Metal band July 15th), and Per Lümbersson (from the German Melodic Death Metal band Aeon of Awareness). The cello parts in all songs were contributed by Polina Faustova, a Ukrainian cellist. This mix of talents in collaboration with Magaroth’s vision give birth to a versatile and fluid album that in little more than 30 Minutes will take the listener through worlds of eerie beauty.
The album opens with Faustova’s cello and rages through different sonic landscapes: the powerful instrumental On the Brink of Death (feat. Lümbersson), the catchy Hoping for Salvation (feat. Rot) or Carnival of Dreams, feat the lyricist Julia Dathe displaying melodic and gutural vocals. The work closes with the touching cello and piano of Left Behind (The Last Goodbye).
