A banda The Dharma Chain foi formada em 2020 em Byron Bay, na Austrália, mas decidiu se mudar para Berlim em 2022. Em 2021, eles lançaram um EP homônimo e, em 2022, seu primeiro álbum, Angry Young Folk.
O quinteto toca uma mistura de rock psicodélico, neo-folk, garage e shoegaze, acrescentando alguns elementos industriais e pós-punk em seu último álbum, lançado em 2024 sob o nome de Nowhere. Suas composições são oníricas, no estilo jam, com linhas de baixo groovy, percussão pulsante e melodias cativantes e fluidas banhadas em reverberação, semelhantes a bandas como The Brian Jonestown Massacre ou The Entrance Band, tudo coroado pela combinação harmoniosa de vocais masculinos e femininos. Atualmente, eles estão contratados pela gravadora berlinense Anomic Records.
A banda embarcará em uma turnê pela Alemanha, Italia, França e norte da Espanha antes de sua apresentação no DesertFest Berlin.

THE DHARMA CHAIN, DESERTFEST BERLIN 2026, 16TH MAY
The young band will play on the closing day on DesertFest Berlin
The Dharma Chain was formed in 2020 in Byron Bay, Australia, but decided to move to Berlin in 2022. In 2021 they released an homonimous EP, and in 2022 their first album, Angry Young Folk.
The quintet plays a mix of psychedelic rock, neo-folk, garage and shoegaze, adding some industrial and post-punk elements in their last album, released in 2024 under the name of Nowhere. Their compositions are oniric, jam-style, with groovy basslines, pulsing percussion and catchy, fluid melodies drenched in reverb, similar to bands like The Brian Jonestown Massacre or The Entrance Band, all topped by the harmonious combination of male and female vocals. They are currently signed to Berlin Label Anomic Records.
The band will embark on a tour through Germany, France and Northern Spain prior their performance at DesertFest Berlin.
