ORIGINAL IN ENGLISH AT THE END

– Vulcan Bomber / Aquasphere – 1997 – Last Scream Records (Split 7″), naquele mesmo ano. Seu primeiro álbum, To The Centre, viu a luz do dia em 1999.

Em 2024, a banda lançou um álbum dividido com a banda Black Rainbows: Nebula / Black Rainbows – In Search of the Cosmic Tale ⁞ Crossing the Galactic Portal.

After Eddie Glass (Guitar) and Ruben Romano (Drums) left the iconic stoner rock band Fu Manchu in 1997, they decided to give birth to a new project: Nebula. Mark Abshire, who had also played bass in Fu Manchu, joined the project soon after and the trio recorded their first release, Nebula / That’s All Folks! – Vulcan Bomber / Aquasphere – 1997 – Last Scream Records (Split 7″) that same year. Their first record, To The Centre, saw the light in 1999.

Nebula kept the stoner-doom essence of Fu Manchu in many ways, but added a good layer of space rock elements. Heavy soundscapes soaked in feedback, mantra-like, hypnotic rhythms and fuzz-oozing guitars. The original use of the Wah-Wah makes their music dynamic and expressive, boosting the psychedelic elements, confering Nebula’s sound with a mix of density and expansion which is unmistakable. The cherry on top of the cake are Glass’ vocals echoing through the tracks, guiding the listener into surrealistic stories of the stoner rock universe.

Their last LP release, Transmission from Mothership Earth, was released in 2022. In 2024 the band released a split alongside Black Rainbows: Nebula / Black Rainbows – In Search of the Cosmic Tale ⁞ Crossing the Galactic Portal. The last few years the band was inactive, as two of their bassists passed away. But their coming back on the stages of Europe might be the prelude of a new release soon.

Nebula will play in various European cities this summer, including DesertFest Oslo and DesertFest Berlin on its closing day.
