Red Fang foi formada em Portland, Oregon, em 2005, e conquistou reconhecimento internacional em poucos anos. Seu som é uma mistura peculiar de stoner, sludge e metal.
A banda é composta por Aaron Beam no baixo e vocais, Bryan Giles na guitarra e vocais, David Sullivan na guitarra e John Sherman na bateria. O som do Red Fang foi influenciado por bandas que vão desde clássicos como Black Sabbath e Led Zeppelin até bandas de stoner como Corrosion of Conformity, Kyuss ou Melvins. Uma reminiscência do grunge na linha de bandas como Alice in Chains (especialmente nos vocais) e Soundgarden também está presente em muitas de suas canções.
Não foi apenas a qualidade de suas composições que contribuiu para sua popularidade: sua atitude despretensiosa e seu senso de humor, tão bem refletidos em seus vídeos, são uma de suas marcas registradas.
Ao vivo, eles oferecem performances poderosas. Sua fórmula funciona como um relógio: riffs pesados, bateria estrondosa, solos cativantes e o trabalho de acordes nos vocais tornam o som da banda inconfundível.
Seu último álbum, Deep Cuts, é uma combinação do que poderíamos chamar de o oposto de um Best of: demos, lados B e covers das bandas que os inspiraram.
A banda anunciou até agora apenas dois shows na Europa: DesertFest Berlin e Bruxelas.

Red Fang formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2005 and gained international recognition within a few years. Their sound is a peculiar blend of stoner, sludge and metal.
The band consists of Aaron Beam on bass and vocals, Bryan Giles on guitar and vocals, David Sullivan on guitar and John Sherman on drums. Red Fang’s sound has been influenced by bands ranging from classics like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin to stoner bands like Corrosion of Conformity, Kyuss or Melvins. A reminiscence of grunge in the line of bands like Alice in Chains (specially on the vocals) and Soundgarden is present in many of their songs as well.
Not only the quality of their compositions has contributed to their popularity: their unpretentious attitude and sense of humour, so well reflected in their videos, is one of their trademarks.
Live they deliver powerful performances. Their formula works as a clockwork: heavy riffs, thunderous drumming, catchy solos and the chordal work of the vocals make the band’s sound unmistakable.
Their last album, Deep Cuts, is a combination of what we could call the oposite of a Best of: demos, B sides and covers of the bands which have inspired them.
The band has announced until now only two shows in Europe: DesertFest Berlin and Brussels.
